Role Description

This is a part‑time, on‑site Pilates Instructor role based in San Leandro, CA. The Pilates Instructor will lead individual and group Pilates sessions up to 7 clients, providing clear, safe instruction tailored to diverse client needs and abilities. Daily responsibilities include assessing client goals, proper form and alignment, and offering appropriate modifications and progressions. The instructor will maintain a clean and organized studio environment, direct sessions that reflect Pilates functional principles, and track client progress. The role also involves greeting clients, answering basic questions about services, processing payments, managing appointment schedules, and supporting a welcoming, inclusive studio culture.

Qualifications

• Strong Pilates Instruction skills with the ability to design safe, effective, and engaging sessions tailored to different levels.
• Experience leading Group Exercise classes and managing group dynamics while maintaining individual attention.
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills, including clear communication, empathy, and professionalism in client interactions.
• Teaching skills that include clear cueing, constructive feedback, and the ability to motivate and coach clients of varied abilities.
• Recognized Pilates certification or training (Mat and Reformer) from an accredited contemporary program.
• Current CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Ability to work a consistent part‑time schedule, including one weekday evening as needed.
