Job summary

Life Time is hiring Pilates Instructors to support members in achieving healthier lives through customized client programs and engaging Pilates sessions, both private and group. Instructors monitor form, teach safe equipment use, and conduct initial consultations to tailor training plans.

The role emphasizes ongoing education, studio upkeep, and staying current with industry trends, while delivering top-tier customer service and programming for a diverse member base.

Qualifications

• 1 year of personal training experience
• Experience in Pilates program design
• Certified Pilates Trainer required
• Trained and Certified in Reformer, Tower, Chair and Barrels
• CPR and AED certification required

Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional client programs to drive goal achievement and retention
• Instructs clients during Pilates sessions on safe equipment use
• Conducts fitness consultations with new clients to assess goals and recommend Pilates training
• Instructs private and group Pilates classes
• Promotes Pilates training programs and classes to members
• Completes all administrative requirements related to each client’s fitness plan
• Maintains cleanliness of the Pilates studio
• Keeps credentials up to date and stays informed on trends in the industry
• Educates members on health and fitness issues
• Provides superior customer service and supports programming
• Documents all aspects of client programming
• Remains current on credentials to advance within the levels program
• Provides fitness floor assistance to ensure safety and motivation

Position Summary

Pilates Instructors are responsible for supporting all members in championing happier, and healthier lives by building and nurturing relationships. They provide a positive member experience that is educational, supporting, and upholds the integrity of the Life Time Brand.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention
• Monitors and instructs clients during Pilates training sessions on the safe and effective use the equipment
• Conducts fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening and goal setting to assess and recommend Pilates training programs
• Instructs both private and group Pilates classes
• Promotes and sells Pilates training programs and classes, Group Fitness classes and Personal Training to members
• Completes all administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness plan
• Maintains the cleanliness of the Pilates studio
• Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry
• Educates members on current health and fitness issues and trends
• Ensures all members feel competent, confident, and connected by providing superior customer service through complimentary and based services/programming
• Documents all aspects of client programming
• Remains current on credentials and continuing education to advance throughout the levels program
• Provides fitness floor assistance to all members to ensure safety, provide education, and motivate members

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of personal training experience
• Experience in Pilates program design
• Certified Pilates Trainer
• Trained and Certified in Reformer, Tower, Chair and Barrels
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds
• CPR and AED Certified

Preferred Requirements

• 150 - 400 hours comprehensive Pilates Certificate (minimum education to include; Mat, Reformer, Tower, Chair)

Pay

This position will be paid commissions between 10% and 60% depending on the product and the Team Member’s productivity. The weekly minimum pay for the position will be at least applicable minimum wage for each hour worked.
