Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking a dedicated Pilates Instructor in Chicago to engage members and build healthier lives through education and strong relationships.

You will design and deliver private and group Pilates sessions, perform client assessments, and promote related training programs while upholding Life Time’s service standards. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of personal training, Pilates program design experience, and CPR/AED certification.

• Experience in Pilates program design.
• Certified Pilates Trainer.
• Trained and Certified in Reformer, Tower, Chair and Barrels.
• CPR and AED Certified.

Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention.
• Monitors and instructs clients during Pilates training sessions on the safe and effective use of equipment.
• Conducts fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening and goal setting.
• Instructs both private and group Pilates classes.
• Promotes and sells Pilates training programs and classes, Group Fitness classes, and Personal Training.
• Completes administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness plan.
• Maintains cleanliness of the Pilates studio and stays current on certifications and trends.
• Provides fitness floor assistance to ensure safety, education, and motivation.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention
• Monitors and instructs clients during Pilates training sessions on the safe and effective use the equipment

• Instructs both private and group Pilates classes
• Promotes and sells Pilates training programs and classes, Group Fitness classes and Personal Training to members

• Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry
• Educates members on current health and fitness issues and trends
• Ensures all members feel competent, confident, and connected by providing superior customer service through complimentary and based services/programming
• Documents all aspects of client programming
• Remains current on credentials and continuing education to advance throughout the levels program
• Provides fitness floor assistance to all members to ensure safety, provide education, and motivate members

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of personal training experience
• Experience in Pilates program design
• Certified Pilates Trainer
• Trained and Certified in Reformer, Tower, Chair and Barrels
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds
• CPR and AED Certified

Preferred Requirements

• 150 - 400 hours comprehensive Pilates Certificate (minimum education to include; Mat, Reformer, Tower, Chair)

Pay

This position will be paid commissions between 10% and 60% depending on the product and the Team Member's productivity. The weekly minimum pay for the position will be at least applicable minimum wage for each hour worked.
