Job summary

Equinox Berkeley is seeking Barre & Pilates Instructors to deliver the Equinox Experience in every class, tailoring intensity for members and maintaining smooth class flow. You’ll monitor effort, start and end on time, and communicate feedback to the Group Fitness Manager to support a premier member experience.

Ideal candidates bring current Pilates/Barre certification, teaching experience, CPR/AED certification, and a solid knowledge of anatomy and exercise modifications for diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Pilates Mat / Barre instructors must possess a current certification in their discipline.
• Have experience teaching.
• Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification.
• Must be well-versed in basic anatomy and kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, and modifications for all populations.
• Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education.
• Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class.
• Adhere to the class description and modify intensity for participants as needed.
• Continuously monitor exercise intensity throughout the class duration.
• Ensure class begins and ends on time.
• Teach respective classes regularly and minimize substitutions.
• Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment/status and scheduling.
