Job summary

Studs is seeking eager apprentices to join a paid piercing training program, with six weeks of training in NYC (and New Orleans Studio) before transitioning to part-time or full-time roles. Apprentices earn $19/hour during training and $24/hour plus tips after graduation.

The program emphasizes safety, routine procedures, and excellent client service. Full-time and part-time shifts include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant work experience.
• At least two years as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist (venipunctures and/or finger sticks) preferred.
• Full Time: up to 5 days per week (32+ hours), including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Weekend availability required.
• Must pierce a minimum 18 appointments a day.

Responsibilities

• Service Oriented: educate clients on the Studs experience and sell through the cycle.
• Deliver confident, clear, professional communication with clients.
• Maintain high standards for safety, procedures, and record keeping of maintenance, inventory and tools.
• Respect studio compliance and company policy.
