Job summary

Stella Jones Corporation is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator 1 for our Clanton, AL location. You will operate knuckleboom, wheel loader, or front-end loader and move materials to designated areas while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires experience with heavy equipment, especially front-end loader or tractor, and PIE certification; high school diploma or GED is required. Training peers and maintaining equipment are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Mobile heavy equipment operator with wood products preferred; must have front-end loader or tractor experience.
• License/Certification: PIE certification.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, sort and transport material while following quality, environmental, safety and production expectations.
• Move material to and from processing equipment, railroad cars, trucks, treating trams, storage bins and other areas as required.
• Operate lifting devices by moving levers and pressing pedals to drive trucks and control movement.
• Position forks or lifting devices under pallets and transport loads to designated areas.
• Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting devices; assist in FIFO and inventory processes.
• Assist in maintenance, inspections, fueling, safety and cleaning of mobile equipment; train peers.
