Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Richmond, Virginia.

The position is a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience and active BLS and PALS certifications. Travel experience and strong pediatric critical care skills are preferred to support a broad medical team.

Qualifications

• Active BLS and PALS certifications required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred for PICU.
• Experience working in pediatric intensive care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Follow cardiac and respiratory monitor readings and report changes.
• Change dressings, start IVs, and assist with invasive procedures.
• Operate and monitor PICU equipment such as ventilators.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, including emergencies.
