GHR Healthcare is seeking a PICU Travel Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity pediatric intensive care team in Madison, Wisconsin. This on-site contract involves caring for neonates through adolescents in a comprehensive pediatric environment with multidisciplinary support.

Schedule features three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.), 36 hours weekly, and block scheduling. The assignment starts Nov 30, 2026 and ends Mar 1, 2027, with other unit float as needed.

Formación

• Active RN license with eligibility to practice in Wisconsin.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• NRP certification preferred.
• Epic electronic health record experience required.
• Must live at least 50 miles from the assignment location; local candidates are not eligible.
• Successful completion of a telemetry examination with a minimum passing score of 80%.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a PICU setting.
• Monitor and manage ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, tracheostomies, acute airways, and endotracheal suctioning.
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring, arterial line management, central line and PICC care, CVP monitoring, and administration of IV vasopressors.
• Interpret telemetry and arterial blood gases, recognize dysrhythmias, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Care for patients with complex diagnoses, including congenital heart disease, post-cardiac surgery needs, neurological conditions, renal failure, hydrocephalus, and trauma.
• Administer pediatric medications, continuous sedation, insulin, blood products, TPN/lipids, and other therapies in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rehabilitation, social services, rapid response teams, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Float safely and effectively to other pediatric inpatient units according to competency and staffing needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow infection prevention, isolation, and patient safety standards.
