Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Cincinnati, Ohio. The position offers 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, with nights 12-hour shifts and a travel employment type.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of acute care PICU experience and relevant certifications. As a PICU RN, you will provide critical care to pediatric patients within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with physicians, specialists, and families to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• BLS, PALS, and ACLS required.
• 2+ years of recent acute care or PICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vitals and initiate corrective action as needed.
• Maintain continuous cardiac and respiratory monitoring and report changes.
• Dressings, catheter insertions, and IV starts as required.
• Manage ventilators and other critical care equipment.
• Assist physicians during exams, procedures and life-saving events.
• Aid with CV catheters, arterial lines, and endotracheal tubes as needed.
