Qualifications

• Active AK RN license required; compact license accepted with AK application in process
• Minimum 2 years PICU experience required
• BLS and PALS certification required
• NRP certification copy required for PICU roles
• IV therapy, central line care, and PICC line management skills required
• Ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, and tracheostomy care experience
• Vasopressors, continuous sedation, and anti-seizure medication administration experience
• Hemodynamic monitoring and dysrhythmia management experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care in PICU for ventilated and critically ill pediatric patients
• May train orientee in PICU procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including CNAs and med clerk
• Maintain high standards of infection control and patient safety
• Adhere to hospital policies and evidence-based practice
