Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking a PICU RN PRN to deliver high-quality pediatric critical care. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role may include supervising students and requires current RN licensure, an associate degree, and active certifications (BLS, NRP, PALS) within specified timeframes. This is an on-site, PRN position in South Carolina.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Associate degree in nursing or higher.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 30 days.
• PALS within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Supervise students as assigned by area supervisor.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under the direction of the Nursing Director or Supervisor, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The RN is responsible for directing all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice and federal, state, and local regulations. The RN incorporates knowledge of patient’s age specific development and cultural values into the plan of care. The RN contributes to quality nursing care through process improvement techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration that demonstrates positive outcomes in the delivery of patient care. Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Employee must have the same licensure or have completed the same training to satisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
