Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia; AHA BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, patient-centered critical care using advanced assessment and intervention skills.
• Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilatory support, vasoactive infusions, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
• Perform continuous reassessment and initiate timely interventions.
• Collaborate with intensivists, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide compassionate support and education to families navigating complex care experiences.
• Participate in evidence-based practice, quality improvement initiatives, and academic collaboration.
• Contribute to a unit culture prioritizing clinical excellence, teamwork, and ongoing professional development.
