Job summary

Trusted Health seeks an experienced pediatric CVICU travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in New York (Franklin Square). Shifts are 12 hours, three per week, with direct placement through Trusted Health. Candidates must meet specific ICU and pediatric open heart criteria and hold a Virginia or compact license after submission.

Unit details include 1:1 first 24 hours, then 1:2 if stable; holidays exist and pre-employment modules may be required. Certifications include BLS and PALS.

Qualifications

• 12 months of ICU experience with 3 months within the last 12 months
• 2 years of Critical Care Float Pool experience with any experience within the last 36 months
• Pediatric Open Heart experience with PAP/CVP/IABP/ECMO/CRRT/Chest tubes/A-lines
• Virginia license or compact license (required after submission)
• BLS and PALS certifications

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric CVICU care, including open heart post-op patients
• Maintain patient ratios and critical monitoring (1:1 first 24 hours, then 1:2 as stable)
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and timely interventions
• Complete pre-employment modules and upload certifications/documents

Additional Details

Required Skills / Experience: Experience with Pediatric Fresh Open Hearts with congenital heart surgery experience

Pediatric Open Heart Experience with: PAP/CVP/IABP/ECMO/CVVD or CRRT/Chest tubes/Alines

Preferred Skills / Experience: Min of 5 years Peds CVICU experience but will consider less

Unit / Facility Details: Patient Ratio: 1/1 for first 24 hours, then 1/2 if stable

Special Requests: Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.
