UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA, seeks a Clinical Nurse Leader for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit to drive quality, safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives that improve outcomes for critically ill children.

In this newly structured, PICU-exclusive role, you will partner with nursing leadership, physicians, analysts, and quality professionals to translate data into action and lead performance improvement projects across the pediatric continuum.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing required.
• VA nursing license required.
• CNL certification required.
• At least 2 years of RN experience in a relevant practice area.

Responsibilities

• Lead evidence-based practice initiatives within the PICU.
• Drive quality improvement and patient safety projects from planning through implementation.
• Analyze clinical and operational performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, analysts, and QI professionals.
• Facilitate change management and adoption of best practices.
• Serve as a trusted resource for frontline staff and interdisciplinary teams.
• Participate in unit huddles, operational meetings, and collaborative improvement activities.
• Connect quality metrics, patient outcomes, and performance improvement strategies.
• Support care initiatives involving high-acuity pediatric populations.
• Partner with Women's and Children's Services to share best practices and drive system-wide improvements.
