Job summary

Life Time is seeking a pickleball instructor to teach private lessons and group programs, coordinate leagues and mixers, and drive member engagement. The role emphasizes student-centered, rally-based teaching and growing personal revenue while supporting department goals.

Applicants should have a HS diploma, 1–2 years of experience, and certifications like IPTPA or PPR within 6 months. CPR/AED are preferred. Expect on-court instruction and active involvement in events and marketing support.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the game of pickleball and possesses effective teaching styles and techniques
• Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills
• Comfortable working with all age groups and building positive relationships with members and team members
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds
• 1-2 years of experience in pickleball instruction
• Within 6 months of hire must complete IPTPA and/or PPR certifications
• CPR and AED certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitors, demonstrates, and instructs students during pickleball lessons on proper techniques, tactics, and strategies to improve their overall pickleball game. Personally teaches on court on average 30+ hours per week.
• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive pickleball lessons and programs to ensure students develop along a pathway that will encourage continued involvement and a positive Net Promoter Score.
• Creates exceptional member experiences by involving members with programs, tournaments, and special events, fully utilizing available marketing support and tools, and ensures the pickleball facilities and equipment used for pickleball are clean, organized and in good working condition.
• Participates in the system wide sales effort with Membership Advisors and Member Activities, ensuring pickleball is an integral component of the Life Time brand. Attends specific meetings related to pickleball.
