Job summary

PLAY TENNIS ACADEMY is looking for an experienced Private Pickleball Instructor to offer personalized one-on-one pickleball lessons for residents at Point Hope Charleston. This role provides a chance to develop a strong client base in a community environment with a competitive commission structure.

The instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction based on each participant’s skills and goals, ensuring a professional and enjoyable learning experience. Additional flexibility and growth opportunities are available within the community.

Qualifications

• Prior pickleball instruction or coaching experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pickleball fundamentals, rules, and technique.
• Strong communication and reliability.
• Ability to provide a safe, welcoming, and professional experience.
• Comfortable working with children and/or adults of varying skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide private pickleball lessons tailored to each participant’s experience level and goals.
• Teach fundamentals, rules, paddle control, serving, dinking, footwork, strategy, and game play as appropriate.
• Create a fun, positive, and professional lesson experience.
• Communicate availability clearly with the Play Academy team.
• Arrive on time and prepared for all scheduled lessons.
• Maintain professionalism when interacting with residents and community staff.
• Notify Play Academy in advance of any scheduling conflicts.

Position Overview

Play Academy is seeking an experienced, reliable, and professional Private Pickleball Instructor to provide one-on‑one pickleball lessons for residents at Point Hope Charleston. This is a great opportunity for instructors looking to build their client base within a community setting while earning a competitive commission rate.

Program Details

Private pickleball lessons will be offered to residents based on instructor availability and community interest. The instructor will be responsible for providing high‑quality, personalized instruction tailored to each participant’s skill level, goals, and experience.

Compensation

Competitive commission structure — 60/40 split in favor of the instructor for each registration fee.
