Job summary

OB SUMMARY:

As aWarehouse Lead, you will spend most of your time performing core productive functions. You will also coordinate work activities such as real time staffing moves andmonitorperformance tooptimizeprocess flow under the direction of yourOperationsSupervisorsand other leaders. You will help instill a safety culture,identifytraining needs, andparticipatein root cause analysis using experience and continuous improvementmethodology.You’llalso conduct standard work audits toidentifygaps in these processes and contribute to leader driven continuous improvement plans. In this role,you’llwork with other team members and departments to assess product flow and quality, appropriatelyrecommending toleadership adjustments needed to moveproductefficiently and safely to achieve goals. Another keycomponentof your job will be, under the direction of yourOperationsSupervisor, to assign tasks to team members and provide specific work directionalong withmonitoring progress daily toimprove onperformance and functional area goals.You willanticipateyour leaders’ needs and proactively solve problems before they arise.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

• Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing “x” lbs.frequentlythroughout a shift and up to50lbs. occasionally, and to work within a process path for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to access all areas of the distribution center.
• Ability to read, use matching skills andcomprehenddepartment/product documentation.
• Basic math skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability tooperatecomputer systems with minimal direction after receiving training.
• Strong time-management skills; able to multitask, prioritize and manage requests when received from all departments.
• 1-3 years of leadership,warehousingor manufacturing experience.
• Ability to be trained on powered equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently, as well as on a team,providingwork direction to team members.
• Strong interpersonal skills to relate with all members of the team.
