Job summary

KEG 1 Iowa is seeking a Warehouse Picker-Builder in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will assist in loading, unloading, stocking, and sequencing products while keeping a safe, clean work environment.

This full-time role operates in the evening/night shift and pays $19.00 per hour. Responsibilities include handling all company products, verifying picks with scanners, maintaining orderly storage areas, and ensuring pallets are ready for loading.

Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with all Company products and packaging.
  • Report all damaged product and equipment to immediate supervisor.
  • Pull product and build each load as directed via the voice-pick system. Pull and load the exact amount as stated and verify picks using scanner
  • Ensure loads (keg routes, package routes, bottle routes, special events, etc.) are done accurately and neatly with stop and load sequence affixed to each pallet.
  • Visually inspect all cases loaded to ensure they are in saleable condition. Be aware of code dates and load the oldest product first.
  • Navigate pick area safely to prevent damage to product and equipment. Review each completed pallet and make sure it can be counted without having to move any product. Upon completion of each pallet, weigh for accuracy and wrap for loading.
  • Ensure proper organization, cleanliness, and rotation of the package storage area, draught storage, staging, and racking.
  • Correctly stack products in compliance with Company standard operating procedures.
  • Prior to the end of shift, ensure all empty pallets are removed from the pick area and are properly stored. Sweep, mop, clean up “breakers,” and restock pick area before leaving; keep work area clean.
  • Operate equipment, such as walkie-rider, safely and sensibly. Take responsibility by adhering to rules of operation of Company equipment ensuring the safety of self and other employees.
  • Maintain assigned walkie-rider and assigned handheld and scanner in compliance with Company procedures.
  • Report to work on time. At the end of each shift, report to Supervisor prior to departure. Obtain Supervisor approval prior to working in excess of regularly scheduled hours.
  • Responsible for ensuring all time worked is properly and accurately recorded utilizing the appropriate, designated modes of timekeeping.
  • Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the Company.
  • Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures outlined in the KEG 1 Iowa, LLC Employee Handbook.
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with local, state, and federal liquor control regulations.
