Job summary

Meijer Inc. is offering an entry-level Stocking Clerk role within our family-owned retail environment in Ohio. The position focuses on delivering excellent customer service, product knowledge, and efficient service while performing a variety of merchandising and stocking tasks.

You will be part of a team that keeps shelves ready for a great day and supports store operations with accuracy and care. Weekly pay and development opportunities accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Ability to follow processes and work efficiently.
• Ability to stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoys being part of a team and supporting shared goals.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to shelf locations accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back rooms.
• Work with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products

• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately

• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas

• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed

• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
