Job summary

BSN SPORTS, the Varsity Brands leader, is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Control Specialist to pick, pack, and ship products in a high-volume warehouse in Grand Prairie, TX. You will review orders, locate items, verify quality, and maintain inventory records.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years in a warehouse setting, be comfortable with Excel, and be able to lift up to 40 lbs. OT is required during peak season; a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years experience in a warehouse/manufacturing setting.
• Strong attention to detail and punctual attendance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review pick sheets and work orders to determine items to be picked and packed.
• Locate items in designated storage areas using handheld devices or carts.
• Check quality and quantity to meet order specifications.
• Pack, label, and prepare items for shipment with proper documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area and operate forklifts/pallet jacks as needed.
• Communicate with team and supervisors to ensure timely order fulfillment.

WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday 1:00pm – 9:30pm (OT as needed and during peak season Jun-Dec)

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Our BSN Sports Warehouse Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for selecting and preparing products for shipment in a warehouse setting.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Receiving and reviewing pick sheets, work orders, and other shipping documents to determine items to be picked and packed.
• Locating and retrieving items from their designated storage areas within the warehouse using handheld devices or picking carts.
• Checking product quality and quantity, ensuring that they follow the order specifications.
• Packaging, labeling, and preparing items for shipment to customers, including accurately completing required shipping documentation.
• Keeping accurate inventory records of items picked and packed and reporting any discrepancies or issues to the warehouse supervisor.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Operating various warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, and following all safety procedures.
• Communicating effectively with other warehouse team members and supervisors to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and move around the warehouse.
• Overall, a Warehouse carousel picker plays a critical role in ensuring that products are accurately picked and shipped to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders in spoken English, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Participate in meetings, discussions, and presentations requiring proficient spoken English skills.
• Ability to work seasonal mandatory OT as needed
• Must be able to pass background check.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

• HS Diploma or GED (required)
• 1 - 2 years’ experience in a warehouse/manufacturing setting
• Preference will be given to candidates with previous related experience
• Learn tasks quickly, is detailed, accuracy driven, personable, team oriented, and punctual with excellent attendance
• Must be very comfortable with Microsoft Office, with extensive experience with Microsoft Excel
