Job summary

Dynamic Access in Chicago is seeking a PICC RN for the night shift (6pm-6am) to perform bedside vascular access procedures in diverse healthcare settings. Responsibilities include inserting PICCs, midlines, peripheral IVs, and establishing port access; you will also monitor patients and document procedures per policy.

Licensure as an RN in Illinois and ACLS/BCLS certifications are required. This role also involves travel between facilities and using portable ultrasound equipment to guide

Responsibilities

Vascular Access

• Bedside insertion of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs).
• Bedside insertion of midlines and extended dwell catheters.
• Bedside insertion of peripheral IV catheters.
• Establishing access via intravascular ports.
• Examination, assessment and evaluation of patients with vascular access devices.

Education

• Educates all patients and family members on the procedures to be completed.
• Answers any questions regarding procedures to be done.
• Educates staff when necessary.

Documentation

• Clearly documents procedures completed as per client policy and per the policy of the Company.
• Current RN license in the state in which the employee is working.
• Current ACLS and BCLS certifications.
• Completed vascular access competency skills checklist.

This job operates in a wide variety of environments ranging through all types of healthcare facilities.
