Job summary

UPMC Center for Emergency Medicine seeks a Full-Time Pilot to support STAT MedEvac. The Pilot in Command is the final authority on safe operation of the aircraft and must ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance for all flights released by the system.

You will execute independent judgment to provide safe, efficient air transport for CEM patients, while coordinating with the operations team and maintaining required training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Pilot in Command is responsible for the safe operation of the assigned aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and CEM policies.
• Ensures aircraft airworthiness and currency of required qualifications and publications.
• Completes postflight paperwork accurately and on time, including payroll, expenses, and training forms.
• Maintains safety culture and communicates safety concerns through approved channels.
