Job summary

School of Rock Randolph is looking for a passionate Piano/keys Teacher to join their team. This role requires a dedication to enriching lives through performance-based music education. Ideal candidates will have over three years of experience, knowledge of music theory, and excellent customer relations skills.

The Piano/keys Instructor will be responsible for conducting lessons, creating dynamic lesson plans, and ensuring students gain fundamental music skills while also preparing for performances.

You must be enthusiastic, patient, and resourceful, with the ability to engage with students and parents actively.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience teaching and/or performing music professionally.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Strong organizational and customer relations skills.

We are looking for a Piano/keys Teacher to join us at our School of Rock Randolph location.

Responsibilities

As a Piano/keys Instructor you will be responsible for all music education‑related elements within the lessons and rehearsals, creating a dynamic experience to ensure students are challenged and inspired. The Piano Instructor/teacher positively embodies rock and roll and is responsible for creating a valuable student experience that helps our students learn music and life skills.

Music Instruction

• Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows
• Ensure students are learning the fundamentals of music, not just songs
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans

Customer Connection

• Communicate regularly with parents on progress of students after lessons
• Interact with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible in the school
• Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall execution of the program
• Assist in rehearsals and basic maintenance in school

Skill Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience teaching and/or performing music professionally
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
• Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and other people
• Strong organizational skills
• Very strong customer relations skills
• Resourceful and good problem‑solver
• Works well under pressure
• Ideal candidate is a working musician who also has formal music school training
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor
• Good judgment a must
