Job summary

One Music Schools in Champaign, IL is seeking a piano teacher to conduct 30-minute private lessons and tailor lesson plans to each student. You will assess abilities and prepare students for recitals in a creative, supportive studio environment.

We welcome both new and experienced teachers, require a minimum one-year commitment, and encourage teaching on multiple instruments. Benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage plus paid training and performance opportunities.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to connect with people of all ages and skill levels.
• Degree in Music Education or Music Performance is a plus but not required.
• Must demonstrate teaching ability and instrument skill during interview.
• Open to both first-time and experienced teachers.
• Minimum one-year commitment to teaching with us.
• Ability to teach multiple instruments (piano, guitar, voice, ukulele, violin, cello, drums, etc.).
• Submit a Music Specific Resume.

Responsibilities

• Instructing students for 30 minute private lessons.
• Assessing new student abilities and creating lesson plans.
• Preparing students for recitals and facilitating participation.
• Helping students reach their learning goals and communicating progress to parents/guardians.
