Job summary

Guitar Center Stores, Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Music Teacher to deliver lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.

You will work to grow the program by increasing student counts while providing engaging, high-quality instruction. The role emphasizes partnering with families, maintaining clear progress communication, and delivering an excellent customer experience as part of our store culture.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Music, Education, or related field.
  • Ability to teach the instrument they are proficient in such as Drums, Guitar, Keyboard, etc.
  • Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will be teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Teach music lessons using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum and increase student count.
  • Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
  • Assist with Customer service as needed, helping to build and maintain long term students by creating a great experience.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Communicate with students/parents on progress and goals frequently.

Job description

Pay Rate: $17.13/hr - $21.65/hr Non-Teaching Rate and up to $28.83/hr Total Teaching Rate depending on background and experience.

As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count ensuring each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoys playing music all while nurturing our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.

As a Music Teacher, you will impact:
Store Culture & Excellence:

Student & Parent Partnership:
  • Partner with all students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships, and embracing the knowledge parents have as their child's Music Teacher
  • Communicate with students and/or parents of students on progress of each student
  • Share students and/or parents' goals and progress frequently
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in Music, Education, or related field
  • Ability to teach the instrument that they are proficient in such as Drums, Guitar, Keyboard, etc.
  • Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will be teaching
