Job summary

The Highland Hospital of Rochester NY seeks a Rehabilitation Mobility Aide to provide clinical support within Rehabilitation Services. Under PT/PTA supervision you will assist patients with mobility, including walking, bed-to-chair transfers, and positioning, and participate in therapeutic exercises and ROM as prescribed.

Excellent communication and teamwork are essential as you help deliver timely, courteous patient care in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of patient care experience preferred.
• Proficient in basic word processing and computer data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with mobility tasks under PT/PTA direction.
• Walk patients and help transfer from bed to chair.
• Reposition patients to promote comfort and safety.

Provides clinical support for the Rehabilitation Services department to ensure timely, efficient, professional, and courteous patient care. Under the direction of PT/PTA, facilitates patient mobility by (1) walking patients (2) transferring patients bed to chair (3) repositioning patients (4) performing therapy provided therapeutic exercises and range of motion. The Rehabilitation Mobility Aide utilizes patient handling equipment, transfer devices, and protective equipment in accordance with guidelines and vendor specification. Candidate must possess good communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work as a member of the health care team.

Salary Range

$18.89-$25.56 an hour

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
