Overview
Physicist - Radiation Oncology position in Wilmington, NC. This is a contract opportunity arranged through Softpath System, LLC, a staffing partner for healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities
- Cover Physics clinical tasks during clinical hours.
- Support procedures offered at the main campus and satellite centers, including MLC-based SRS, SBRT, IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, T&O, and Vaginal Cylinder.
- Utilize Varian equipment (Halcyon, TrueBeam, IX linac) and related systems (AR IA/Eclipse, Aria) for treatment planning and record/verify.
- Perform QA and other standard physics duties in Radiation Oncology according to clinic needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Radiation Oncology physics.
- ABR - Therapeutic Medical Physics certification.
- Work Setting: Radiation Oncology; experience with External Beam Radiation Therapy (Teletherapy), IMRT.
- Traveler experience: Clinic will accept first-time travelers.
Job Details
- Scheduling: 5 days per week, 8-hour days (08:00 – 17:00).
- Duration: 13 weeks (will accept 13 weeks).
- Call Requirement: NONE
- Float Requirement: NONE
- Patient Diagnoses: Radiation Oncology Patients
- Equipment: Varian Halcyon, Varian TrueBeam, Varian IX linac, Nucletron HDR Afterloader, Siemens CT simulator; VisonRT for SGRT; Varian Eclipse and Aria used for planning and R&V.
- Unit Systems: ARIA/Eclipse
- Unit Orientation: 40 hours of clinic orientation
