Job summary

Health Here in Memphis is seeking a medical physicist to support calibration techniques for imaging and therapy equipment, develop treatment plans for complex cases, and serve as a resource for staff on plans, simulations, and device fabrication.

Responsibilities include validating plan accuracy, consulting with physicians as needed, conducting acceptance testing, QA of linear accelerators and TPS, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance through ongoing quality assurance.

Qualifications

  • ABR Certification in Radiation Oncology with at least 2 years of experience in a cancer center.
  • Masters-level eligibility in medical physics by the American Board of Radiology.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Licenses: BLS within 30 days of hire; ABR eligible; preferred: ABR certification and BLS.

  • Coordinates treatment planning and related procedures.
  • Oversees quality control measures.
  • Documents all physics services comprehensively.
  • Participates in performance improvement and radiation safety activities.
  • Supports a positive team environment and department goals.
