Job summary

The US Oncology Network is looking for a full-time Medical Physicist in Fort Worth, Texas. The ideal candidate will support 9 board-certified physicists, ensuring clinical medical physics services across multiple clinics. Candidates should have a CAMPEP Accredited residency, a Texas Medical Board license, and experience with Varian linear accelerators and treatment planning systems.   • CAMPEP Accredited Residency Program in Medical Physics is preferred.
  • Must have a valid Texas Medical Board license or be board-eligible.
  • American Board of Radiology certification or board-eligible is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support 9 board-certified physicists and 9 dosimetrists in full clinical services.
  • Utilize Eclipse, BrachyVision, and Element treatment planning systems.
  • Conduct HDR planning and treatment procedures.

Overview

Texas Oncology – Ft Worth is seeking a full‑time, team‑oriented Medical Physicist (MS or PhD) to join our team.

Facilities and Equipment

Our Fort Worth practice provides a full range of external beam radiation therapy procedures in addition to HDR brachytherapy. Equipment in use includes:

  • 1 Truebeam STx, 2 Trubeam, 7 Varian 21 iX
  • GE CT-Sim, Siemens PET/CT, 4 Bravos HDR afterloaders
  • ARIA TPS, Eclipse, BrachyVision

All 7 community-based clinics share a single database for ROIS, treatment planning (conventional and SRS), 2nd check program, SNC SunCheck, and Radformation applications.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support 9 board-certified physicists, 9 dosimetrists, and 2 physics residents in providing full clinical medical physics services for our 7 clinics.

  • Eclipse, BrachyVision, and Element treatment planning systems
  • HDR planning and treatment
  • ARIA ROIS
  • SRS/SBRT procedures
  • SGRT procedure
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Varian linear accelerators
  • Experience with Eclipse/BrachyVision Planning system
  • Experience with Element Planning system
Qualifications
  • CAMPEP Accredited Residency Program in Medical Physics (preferred)
  • Valid Texas Medical Board license or board‑eligible
  • American Board of Radiology certification or board‑eligible
  • Preferred two years of experience as a certified medical physicist
  • Working knowledge of SRS, SBRT, and HDR
  • Strong organization and oral/written communication skills
