Job summary

Essentia Health in Bismarck, ND seeks a Family Medicine Walk-In Clinic physician for a full-time role in our Urgent Care. You will join a 4 MDs and 2 APPs team, seeing about 20–25 patients per day with flexible 6, 10 or 12-hour shifts.

You’ll diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions across all ages, with access to onsite lab and imaging and a supportive care network focused on teamwork and patient‑centered care.

Qualifications

• Board certification/eligibility in Family Medicine.
• Experience in Urgent Care or walk-in clinic is a plus.
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions.
• Collaborate with a care team of MDs, NPs and PAs.
• Provide compassionate care in a walk-in setting.
• Utilize onsite lab and imaging services.

Utilizing Essentia Care Processes, physicians improve the overall health of patients by providing acute, chronic, and preventive healthcare. In the role of an Essentia Health Walk-In clinic provider, you will open the door to new and established patients, offering an exceptional experience and high-quality care.PRACTICE SPECIFICSFull time is 40 patient contact hours per week, seeing an average of 20-25 patients per day.Flexible scheduling with 6, 10 or 12-hours shifts. Weekend and holiday shifts are 4 hours.4 MDs and 2 APPs on staff; with variability at each location.Providers diagnose and treat a wide range of chronic and acute problems such as URIs, UTIs, lacerations, DVTs, lesions, environmental exposures, heart attacks, strokes, hypertension, and diabetes.Opportunity to care for patients with unique cultural backgrounds ranging from newborn to centenarians.Lab and advanced imaging such as CT, MRI and ultrasound are available in the 9th Street Clinic.Access to numerous Medical/Surgical specialties locally within Essentia Health’s network.REQUIREMENTSBC/BE in Family MedicineLOCATIONCentral North Dakota.
