Job summary

Hartford Healthcare-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced physicians with urgent care or emergency medicine background to join a growing network in Connecticut. The role involves treating both adult and pediatric patients with a focus on speedy, safe care within a collaborative team.

You will independently perform a wide range of clinical services, including selecting appropriate diagnostics, interpreting tests, and providing vaccinations and follow-up care as needed.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school is required.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS or AOA board in Family or Emergency Medicine.
  • Active state medical licensure is required.

Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat patients in urgent care settings.
  • Take medical histories and perform physical examinations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and X-rays.
  • Diagnose and prescribe medications for acute conditions.
  • Suture, splint, or cast minor injuries as needed.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families.

Hartford Healthcare-GoHealth Urgent Care Physician Opportunities Within Expanding Urgent Care Network in Connecticut Various Opportunities & Locations Available

We are seeking experienced Physicians who have urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients, to join our welcoming and diverse community of providers in the surrounding region .

Job Summary:

Physicians independently perform a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections and are also responsible for selecting and utilizing appropriate diagnostics and/or therapeutic procedures for patients.

Education
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school required
Work Experience
  • 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience required
  • Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting required
  • Adult and pediatric practice experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
  • Active state medical licensure
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • Experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting
  • Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting, etc.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
  • Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
Job Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising GoHealth PA/NPs remotely when cases are presented to you for supervision
Job Responsibilities include:

  • Act as a Collaborating Physician for up to four PA/NPs in the credentialing process, including signoff of the PA/NPs delineation of privileges (DOP)
  • 20 hours required monthly for per diem
