The CathWorks FFRangio System combines artificial intelligence (AI) and computational science to provide physicians with comprehensive physiologic information, enabling them to make better treatment decisions for patients with coronary artery disease.

Recently, CathWorks entered into a strategic partnership with Medtronic to market and sell the FFRangio System globally. Medtronic is the global leader in medical technology and has more than 90,000 employees worldwide in more than 150 countries. The partnership with Medtronic will expand CathWorks footprint globally, enabling more patients to benefit from its revolutionary technology that is poised to disrupt the current coronary physiology market.

As a Physician Trainer, you will be responsible for training physicians and hospital staff on use and adoption of the FFRangio System, enabling them to reach expert proficiency and deliver positive patient diagnostics decisions. In addition to ongoing support of existing customers through education and case support, Physician Trainers support the evaluation and commercial launch of new customers. They partner with and support local Medtronic representatives as the regional product expert. The role reports to the Vice President of Sales and Physician Training and involves collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality R&D, and Customer Service.

Field positions are being considered in Dallas, Central/South Florida, Northern Virginia, NYC/NJ.

Job Responsibilities
  • Train Cardiac Cath Lab physicians and staff independently on the CathWorks FFRangio System.
  • Contribute to planning, development, and execution of growth strategies with the Marketing & Sales Leadership team.
  • Develop, implement, and deliver educational and commercial materials for clinicians and staff.
  • Work directly with physicians to develop clinical champions for FFRangio.
  • Lead training sessions to develop proficiency and increase utilization of the FFRangio technology.
  • Support account activation and launch nationwide in collaboration with the VP of Sales, Operations, and Medtronic representatives.
  • Provide clinical application support on-site and remotely, offering scientific and technical information regarding FFRangio use.
  • Offer feedback to Marketing & R&D on clinical performance.
  • Develop professional relationships with customers to stay updated on clinical environments.
  • Partner with Product Marketing on product development, requirements, and validation.
  • Participate in clinical trials as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Bio Medical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least six (6) years of experience, including three (3) years as a clinical or commercial specialist in the medical device industry, with experience in sterile cath lab or operating room environments.
  • Experience with physician education and training preferred.
  • Strong skills in diagnostic & interventional cardiology or relevant medical device sales support.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (approx 60-70%) and possibly abroad for training.
  • Medically trained candidates at technician or nurse level are highly preferred, with experience in coronary angiography/interventions highly advantageous.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, competitive drive, and strong work ethic.
