Job summary

City of Hope Atlanta–Newnan, GA is seeking a Board Certified or Eligible Thoracic Surgeon to join a renowned cancer network. The role involves clinic and OR duties across a 4 to 4.5 day workweek and collaboration with an established multidisciplinary team.

Regional referral development and cutting-edge robotic thoracic surgery are highlighted. Applicants must have fellowship training in Thoracic Surgery, valid MD/DO credentials, and GA licensure eligibility.

Responsibilities

City of Hope Atlanta (Newnan, GA), a leading network of cancer hospitals and outpatient centers, is seeking an outstanding Board Certified or Eligible Thoracic Surgeon to join our esteemed team. We offer a collaborative, patient-focused environment dedicated to transforming healthcare by integrating cutting-edge research and compassionate care.

Position Highlights

• The position entails 4 to 4 ½ days of clinical work (clinic and OR)
• Ability to establish an expanding referral base in thoracic surgery in the growing region.
• 50 bed cancer hospital with new operating rooms and robotic surgery technology (Davinci 5 & ION/CIOS).
• Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with an established multidisciplinary team of physicians, APP's, and nurses. Experienced Interventional Pulmonologist and Thoracic Medical Oncologist on staff.
• Successful candidates must possess excellent surgical skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• City of Hope faculty appointment. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
