Overview

The West Virginia University School of Medicine – Eastern Division and the Department of Surgery seek a Plastic Surgeon (Assistant, Associate or Professor rank). The successful candidate will practice in Martinsburg, West Virginia and will be expected to provide excellent patient care, actively involve in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and participate in the growth of a high quality academic program.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive plastic surgery patient care including evaluation, operative and postoperative management.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in all aspects of plastic surgery.
• Participate in academic activities such as curriculum development, scholarly projects, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient centered care at a community and academic medical center.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility for West Virginia state medical license.
• Completed a surgical residency program and fellowship in plastic surgery.
• Board certified or eligible in plastic surgery with all qualifications met by the time of appointment.
• Track record of excellence in patient care, education, and scholarly activities.
