Job description

Seeking BC/BE minimally invasive Spine Surgeon to join a rapidly growing, comprehensive neuroscience institute in Dayton, OH. The candidate will enjoy a robust clinical practice and join a team of specialty-trained neurosurgeons.

Facilities and Technologies
  • Varian TrueBeam at MVH
  • 3T MRI
  • Epic System for Electronic Medical Records
  • Stryker and Stealth Navigation, O-Arm
  • Neuro-ICU with 24-hour neurocritical care service
  • Latest technology including 4 O-Arms, 6 Stealth stations, Mazor Robot
Practice and Academic Opportunities
  • Busy clinical practice including skull base neurosurgery, neurosurgical oncology, radiosurgery, and general cranial
  • Protected time for research in basic science, translational, and clinical areas
  • New Neurosurgery lab at State University, just 15 minutes away
  • Opportunities for spine outcomes research
  • Academic appointment at Boonshoft School of Medicine
Case Mix and Practice Support
  • Case mix: 85% spine, 15% cranial
  • Elective cases at surgeon’s discretion, supported by APP
  • Robust employed referral network of primary care providers
  • Call schedule: 1/7 with APP coverage, including OR, rounding, consults, and orders
  • 24/7 in-house APP coverage for first call
  • Dedicated Neurosurgery call room and Neurointensivist coverage
Hospital and Patient Care
  • Trauma, Hospitalist, and Intensivist services handle elective admissions with medical management
  • Integrated Epic EMR in clinic and hospital
  • Additional MRI facilities and 24/7 OR PA teams
