Job summary

Join Parachute in Bellmead, TX is seeking a Physician Substitute to support donor health and safety on a lean center team. You will partner with staff to ensure a welcoming and compliant donor experience.

This role offers cross-training across center functions, including phlebotomy and processing bottles, with opportunities for expanded responsibilities and career growth in a fast-scaling organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher education required.
• Certified/licensed in the state of employment as RN, Paramedic, LPN, Advanced/Intermediate or Basic EMT
• Current BLS or CPR certification
• Able to lift 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to work weekends, regularly or as needed

Responsibilities

• Monitor donor eligibility and safety; perform health screenings and physical exams
• Respond to donor reactions and provide care as needed
• Work collaboratively with all center staff
• Manage health logs and test results with clinical oversight
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and compliant
• Cross trained in all center functions including phlebotomy, processing bottles, and station installation

What You’ll Do

As a Physician Substitute, you will be a key member of the site’s lean team, responsible for donor health and safety and a critical part of the donor experience. You’ll work collaboratively with center staff to create a positive environment for the team and our donors. You will have a unique opportunity to be part of a high-growth organization, one that is changing rapidly and creating new opportunities for our high-performing team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor donor eligibility and safety; perform health screenings and physical exams
• Respond to donor reactions and provide care as needed
• Work collaboratively with all center staff

• Beyond your core responsibilities, you will be fully cross trained in all center functions including phlebotomy, processing bottles, and station installation

Required Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma, GED equivalent, or higher education
• Certified/licensed in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse, Advanced/Intermediate or Basic Emergency Medical Technician
• Current BLS or CPR certification
• Able to lift 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to work weekends, regularly or as needed
