Job summary

St. Tammany Health System seeks a physician leader to provide medical direction for the St. Tammany Physician’s Network. You will assess, diagnose and treat patients in line with established standards of care and contribute to ongoing care standards development.

You will participate in network development and support, maintaining clinic schedules as outlined in the contractual agreement, delivering high-quality patient care in a community-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
• Current BLS and ALS certifications through ILCOR courses.
• Leadership experience in a physician network or hospital setting.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Summary of the Job:

Provides leadership and medical direction for St. Tammany Physician’s Network. Provides input in the development of standards of care.Assess, diagnose, and treat patients at St. Tammany Physicians Network in accordance with generally accepted standards of medical care for the specialty in which you are licensed. Provide input in the development of standards of care for St. Tammany Physicians Network. Participate in the development and support of St. Tammany Physicians Network. Maintain clinic schedules as noted in contractual agreement.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be licensed by the Louisiana State board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine. Current BLS, and ALS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off (ALS required by specialty only)

Physical Demands:

Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise. Physical Effort required: Constant (67%-100%) - handling/feeling, talking, hearing, seeing Frequently (34%-66%)- reaching Occasionally (1%-33%)- lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), balancing, stooping, crouching
