Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Physician Specialty Coder to independently manage complex coding review, validation, and charge submission for surgical coding. You will collaborate with physicians, billing teams, and staff to resolve coding and reimbursement issues, while guiding documentation improvement and process optimization.
The role requires CPC certification, 4+ years of physician coding experience, and strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4.
The Physician Specialty Coder works independently to manage complex coding review, validation, and charge submission processes for assigned specialty departments. Specifically Surgical Coding. This role ensures accurate and compliant ICD-10, CPT, and/or ASA coding while partnering closely with physicians, billing teams, and operational staff to resolve coding and reimbursement issues. The position also serves as a resource for coding guidance, documentation improvement, and workflow optimization to support timely and accurate reimbursement.
The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
