Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, is seeking a physician with sleep medicine expertise to join the Fredericksburg Health Care Center Neurology section. The role includes evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, teaching responsibilities, and collaboration across the Central Virginia VA Health Care System.
Candidates should hold an MD or DO with an unrestricted U.S. medical license, and board certification for faculty status is preferred.
This position will be located at the Department of Veterans Affairs - Veterans Health Administration (VHA) - Fredericksburg Health Care Center (FHCC). The duties and responsibilities are carried out throughout all clinical and other Veterans care areas involved with the FHCC Neurology Section. This position reposts directly to the FHCC Neurology Leadership of the parent facility - Richmond VA Medical Center to ensure collaboration and alignment for goals of Central Virginia VA Health Care System.
To qualify for this position - you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements (if applicable) listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending the completion of training or license requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Currently employed physician(s) in VA who met the requirements for appointment under the previous qualification standard at the time of their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements of the occupation.
