The OMC–Westbank Emergency Department manages over 50,000 patient visits annually, while the Marrero FSED manages over 25,000 patient visits annually, representing a high volume, high acuity, and strategically important emergency care footprint within the Ochsner system. This role serves as a key clinical and operational leader responsible for driving quality, safety, throughput, provider engagement, and patient experience across both sites. The Section Head oversees a multidisciplinary team of Emergency Medicine physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and works in close partnership with nursing, ancillary, and support services leadership to ensure consistent, high performing emergency care delivery.
