Job summary

St. Bernards Medical Group is seeking a medical scribe to support a designated physician in a busy clinic. You will document encounters in real time, escort patients, and prepare rooms and supplies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

• Provides direct clinical and patient service support to the designated physician while serving as the physician's medical scribe. Rooms and escorts patients, obtains and documents vital signs and other information within established clinic protocols, prepares exam rooms and supplies, assists with procedures as directed, supports patient flow and administrative functions, and accurately documents the physician's patient encounters in the electronic health record in real time or as directed. The position requires strong medical terminology, EHR proficiency, attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to accurately capture provider statements without independently diagnosing, interpreting, or altering clinical information. The physician remains responsible for the medical record and clinical decisions.
