Southwest Ohio ENT Specialists Inc. is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide clinical and surgical support in collaboration with our ENT physicians.

The role includes outpatient clinic responsibilities, in-office procedures, and opportunities for first assist in the operating room, depending on experience and interest. You will assist in pre- and post-operative care, document encounters in the EMR, and collaborate with physicians, audiologists, nurses, and other support staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification by the NCCPA.
• Active and unrestricted Ohio PA license (or eligibility).
• Interest in ENT or surgical specialties welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including history-taking and physical exams.
• Diagnose and manage ENT conditions including head & neck issues.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging and labs.
• Perform in-office procedures like flexible laryngoscopy, ear debridement, nasal endoscopy, and minor skin lesion removals.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and patient education.
• Document encounters in the EMR in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist in surgical procedures in hospital and outpatient settings (optional).
• Collaborate with physicians, audiologists, nurses and support staff.
• Participate in call coverage rotation (clinic only; no hospital call).

POSITION OVERVIEW

This role will provide both clinical and surgical support in collaboration with our ENT physicians. This role includes outpatient clinic responsibilities, in-office procedures, and opportunities for first assist in the operating room, depending on experience and interest.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including history-taking and physical exams.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of ear, nose, throat, and head & neck conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including imaging and labs.
• Perform in-office procedures such as flexible laryngoscopy, ear debridement, nasal endoscopy, and minor skin lesion removals.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, patient education, and ongoing follow-up.
• Document patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist in surgical procedures in both the hospital and outpatient settings (optional/if applicable).
• Collaborate closely with physicians, audiologists, nurses, and other support staff.
• Participate in call coverage rotation (clinic only; no hospital call).

Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Education/Certification

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification by the NCCPA.
• Active and unrestricted Ohio PA license (or eligibility for licensure).
• Previous experience in ENT or surgical specialties preferred, but new graduates with strong interest in otolaryngology are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
