Job summary

Odyssey Locums is seeking a radiologist specializing in breast imaging for a Detroit assignment. Responsibilities include screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, MRI, and image-guided procedures with 2–3 days per week coverage.

Active Michigan license, board certification in radiology, and BLS are required. Credentialing takes approx. 90 days; site uses Cerner and is transitioning to Sectra. Competitive premium hourly pay with housing and travel benefits.

Qualifications

• Active MI medical license and board-certified radiologist.
• Certification in mammography and breast imaging preferred.
• BLS certification required and credentialing completed within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography.
• Conduct breast ultrasound, MRI, and image-guided procedures.
• Assist with biopsies, localizations, and aspirations as needed.
• Document encounters in Cerner and currently transitioning to Sectra.

The Role:

• Location: Detroit, MI 48235
• Assignment duration: ASAP - Ongoing
• Coverage Needed: 2-3d/wk for 2-4 wks/mo
• Shift Hours: 8a-4p.
• Cases: Screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided procedures (biopsies, localizations, aspirations).
• Breast case mix: Screening Mammography 45-55% (about 35-40 per shift); Diagnostics 25-35%; Procedures 15-25%.
• Patient Encounters Per Shift: 40-50.
• Site Charting System: Change Health PACS (moving to Sectra in July); Cerner EMR.
• Requirements: Active MI License, Board Certified, & BLS
• Support Staff: 2 RNs, 1 MA, 2 Office Staff
• Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
