Job summary

Royal Surgical Associates is seeking an experienced Radiation Oncologist to cover on-site duties at a Level 1 trauma center in Johnstown, PA. The role involves overseeing treatments, patient consultations, and weekly OTV visits with regular Mon–Fri hours.

The candidate must hold board certification (eligible) and possess expertise in brachytherapy, EBRT, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and SRS, with strong treatment planning skills in 3D CRT and PET CT/MRI fusion.

Qualifications

• Board certification required; minimum board certification eligible.
• ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS certifications required.
• Specialty skills in Radiation Oncology with brachytherapy and EBRT; IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS experience.
• Treatment planning experience including 3D CRT, IMRT, PET CT or MRI Image Fusion, and Electronic Portal Imaging.

Responsibilities

• Be on-site during all scheduled hours and dates.
• Maintain regular on-site hours: Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.
• See patients in office as needed.
• Oversee scheduled radiation treatments on-site.
• Round and consult on inpatients as needed.
• Handle new consults, follow-ups, treatment planning for new patients, and on-treatment weekly visits (OTV).
• After-hours on-call is not required; emergent consultations after hours are rare (1–2 times per year).

Responsibilities

• Provider must be on-site during all scheduled hours and dates
• Regular on-site hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• See patients in office as needed
• Oversee scheduled radiation treatments while on-site
• Round and consult on inpatients as needed
• See new consults, follow-up visits, treatment planning for new patients, and on-treatment weekly visits (OTV)
• After-hours on-call is not required; emergent consultations for radiation treatment after hours occur rarely (once or twice per year)

Requirements

• Board certification required (minimum board certification eligible)
• Required certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS
• Specialty skills in Radiation Oncology required, including experience with Brachytherapy, External Beam Therapy (EBRT), and various radiation techniques such as IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and SRS
• Treatment planning experience preferred, including 3D CRT, IMRT, PET CT or MRI Image Fusion, and Electronic Portal Imaging
