Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a Radiation Oncology physician to join a solo practice in Abingdon, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia.

This hospital‑employed position offers a Monday–Friday, 7 am–3 pm schedule with extremely limited call, a growing patient base of about 25 per day, 3–4 referring medical oncologists, and an academic medical center affiliation with potential future teaching opportunities.

• Manage a patient load of ~25 per day with extremely limited call.
• Collaborate with a physicist and dosimetrist on staff.

Job description

Come practice in Abingdon, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia. The town is known for its artsy vibe, historic charm, and its proximity to some of the most spectacular outdoor recreation in the state. It is less than a two-hour drive to Knoxville, Tennessee, Roanoke, Virginia, and Asheville, NC. It has a local regional airport, which makes travel easy and convenient.

• Monday - Friday schedule, 7 am - 3 pm, 40 hours per week
