The Wilmington VA Medical Center seeks a Pulmonologist to manage outpatient and inpatient pulmonary care, including MICU consultation and bronchoscopy when needed.
The physician will contribute to teaching, research, and the development of programs for veterans with severe lung diseases, working with trainees and staff at the Wilmington VA Medical Center.
At the Wilmington VAMC - Pulmonologists see patients in the outpatient clinic and in the hospital wards for consultation for short/intermediate and long-term management. Hospital responsibilities also often include consultation in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and attending the Medical Intensive Care Unit as needed.
To qualify for this position - you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements (if applicable) listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending the completion of training or license requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Currently employed physician(s) in VA who met the requirements for appointment under the previous qualification standard at the time of their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements of the occupation.
