Gould Medical Group seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director for our Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient Program (PHP/IOP) in Modesto, CA. The role provides clinical leadership, medical oversight, and direct psychiatric care to ensure safe, effective treatment delivery.

Starting base salary is $340,000 with 8 FTE clinical psychiatry and 0.2 FTE administrative duties, plus a sign-on bonus, two-year salary guarantee, and RVU-based compensation

Opportunity Information:

Gould Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director for our Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient Program for behavior health. The Medical Director provides clinical leadership, medical oversight, and direct psychiatric care to ensure safe, effective, and compliant treatment delivery.

• Starting base salary: $340,000
• 8 FTE clinical psychiatry and 0.2 FTE administrative

• Provide physician leadership and oversight of all PHP/IOP clinical services and behavioral health department services
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support coordinated care
• Participate in call coverage rotation responsibilities consistent with Behavioral Health department needs
• Ensure therapeutic approaches align with program goals and evidence-based practices
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide medication management
• Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers and multidisciplinary team members
• Support staff with clinical questions, case discussions, and treatment planning
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards
• Participate in case conferences, treatment team meetings, and quality-improvement initiatives and program development activities
• Oversee appropriate patient flow and adherence to safety and documentation standardsMaintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic health record system (Epic)
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, program managers and other behavioral health professionals to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care
• Promote a patient-centered, recovery-oriented model of care
• Behavioral Health department consists of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Advanced Practice Clinicians
• Low paperwork demands
