Job summary

CompHealth is seeking an experienced psychiatrist to join an established inpatient behavioral health program focused on substance use disorder and detox care. The role involves on-unit schedules with manageable call responsibilities and potential cross-coverage between SUD and general inpatient units.

Board-eligible or board-certified in Psychiatry is preferred, with prior SUD or detox experience strongly recommended.

Qualifications

• Experience in inpatient behavioral health, especially SUD/detox
• Strong teamwork and supervision of NP providers
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry required or strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient psychiatry care for Substance Use Disorder and detox patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and supervise Nurse Practitioners
• Participate in on-unit schedule with weekend call as described in ad

• Monday - Friday on-unit schedule with manageable call responsibilities
• Weekend call approximately 1:4 rotation; weeknight call approximately 1 night per week
• Join an established inpatient behavioral health program with dedicated specialty units
• Focus on inpatient substance use disorder and detox care with short patient stays
• Ability to flex between SUD and general adult inpatient units based on census
• Supervision of Nurse Practitioners required; multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Psychiatry; prior SUD or detox experience strongly preferred
• Hospital-employed position with performance-based compensation above patient threshold

Salary from $350000.00 to $400000.00 annually
