Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a Psychiatrist for a temporary assignment in Salem, Massachusetts. This 22-week locum tenens engagement offers a nocturnal schedule and the opportunity to extend.

Responsibilities include inpatient pediatric care for ages 3-18, rounds on the inpatient floor, and collaboration with a small team. Credentialing within 90 days, MA license, and BLS/DEA/board certification are required.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts medical license.
• Active DEA registration.
• Board certification in psychiatry.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Credentialing completed within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric care for pediatric inpatient patients ages 3-18 in an inpatient practice setting.
• Round on inpatient floor with an average daily census of 10 patients.
• Manage and treat common patient diagnoses including suicide, depression, PTSD, personality disorder, and defiance.
• Collaborate with support staff including 1 MD and 2 NPs.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Maintain valid Massachusetts state license.
• Maintain active DEA registration.
• Maintain required board certifications.
• Adhere to a Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm schedule covering specified date ranges.
• Complete credentialing requirements within the required 90-day timeframe.

Pay Rate: $250 - $255/hr

Responsibilities for a Psychiatrist:

• Provide psychiatric care for pediatric inpatient patients ages 3-18 in an inpatient practice setting
• Round on inpatient floor with an average daily census of 10 patients
• Manage and treat common patient diagnoses including suicide, depression, PTSD, personality disorder, and defiance
