Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Physician, Primary Care for Summit County to join a robust outpatient practice. The role focuses on delivering high-quality primary care with access to a dedicated Medical Assistant and an established network of internal medicine and family medicine providers.

The position emphasizes patient-centered care, opportunities for resident rotation and education, and a compensation model that supports autonomy at the practice level.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine/Family Medicine physician.
• Active Ohio Medical License in good standing at start date.
• Outpatient setting; Monday–Friday; dedicated Medical Assistant.
• Expect to see 20–22 patients per day when fully mature.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services in outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with Medical Assistant and practice team.
• Participate in resident rotation and education within the practice.

Primary care physicians are the entry point – the front door – for most patients who come to University Hospitals. The UH Primary Care Institute creates an environment that better supports our primary care physicians in providing excellent care and a high-quality patient experience.

UH has the region’s largest primary care provider network, which comprises more than 300 board-certified providers with expertise in internal medicine and family medicine, as well as pediatric primary care . The network supports primary care providers in delivering the highest quality and coordinated care.

Work Site and Opportunity Highlights:

• Monday through Friday

• Resident rotation and education within the practice is encouraged
